Glenn Kelley, director of the VineHosting Initiative along with First United Methodist Church of Mt. Ephraim in Camden County NJ (www.njfaith.com) will host a training conference for churches interested in learning how to utilize the Web Empowered Church system on May 17th
Current WEC Users wishing to ask specific questions as well as obtain a higher level of learning for the WEC system should plan to attend the second 1/2 of this seminar.
The Web-Empowered Church (WEC) software enables churches to better maintain or create a Web site and to add features that enhance ministry opportunities. WEC began in 2004 and nearly 400 churches worldwide use WEC software. ?It?s an emphasis on empowering all the ministries in a church, that allows us to push the envelope for ministry capability,? states Kelley.
One of the most popular WEC software features is the prayer connector. Church members can post prayer requests online and view and respond to posted requests. The WEC software also includes an application to match church members with volunteer ministry opportunities and a sermons application that allows sermons and special messages to be played in streaming video. Conference attendees will also learn about TYPO3, the WEC Content Management System.
We encourages church leaders and communication staff to attend a WEC seminar because people will check the Web site before they dawn your doorstep. It?s the first impression you?re going to give your visitors.
